Puerta de Hierro Hospital

Madrid, Spain

This is a concession for the construction and operation of a hospital with 923 beds. A university hospital, the Puerta de Hierro - Majadahonda Hospital offers out- patient services, radiology, radiotherapy, image diagnostics, ambulatory services, full  in- patient hospitalization services, and training and research facilities. It has twenty- five operating rooms (2 for research, 1 for implants, 1 for urology and 21 conventional OR’s). Built on a 200,000 m2 plot of land, this P3 project comprised the design, construction, operation and maintenance of a 923- bed facility, including eight three- story buildings with a full basement and an adjacent 70,000 sqm underground, four- story parking garage. The hospital features prefabricated bathroom facilities. A modular formwork system patented by DRAGADOS, known as “Mesas Hussor”, was utilized during construction.
