California, United States
This project is included in the California High Speed Rail System (CAHSR) and consists of approximately 745 mi of high-speed rail – CAHSR will provide intercity travel in California between the major metropolitan centers of Sacramento, San Francisco Bay, Central Valley, Los Ángeles, Inland Empire, Orange County, and San Diego.
The Construction Package 2-3, between Fresno and Bakersfield, currently in design and build stage, consists of nearly 65.5 mi of high-speed rail trackway civil infrastructure, designed for a project speed of 250 mph. The railway line goes through California’s Central Valley from Fresno to approximately 0.99 mi north of Kern County.
The project includes two straddle bents over the existing railway (BNSF) and the viaducts over several water courses: Kings River, Cross Creek, Tule River and Deer Creek.
